Review:
The decision to buy this sleeping bag was more ad-hoc than anything else. I was looking for a good winter sleeping bag that would keep me warm for down to -5 degrees or so. I picked this sleeping bag up at my local Kathmandu store as it was marked as half price and seemed of good quality. I have used it every winter for my hiking and camping trips since then and it is still like new today. Nothing bad to say about it at all. The key is to keep it clean, store it in a dry place within the cotton sacks that usually come complimentary with the sleeping bag (the cotton sack allows you to loosely store the bag so that the down feathers are not compressing over time when stored in the small compression bag). I usually wear a set of thermal underwear underneath and also put a silk liner in for protecting the sleeping bag.

Pros:
- Keeps you definitely warm and comfortable to -5 degrees (or more depending on what you wear)
- Water repellent fabric comes in handy when the moisture accumulating on the inner tent touches the sleeping bag.
- love the hood of the sleeping bag, keeps your head warm during the night.

Cons:
- Given the 1000g fill weight of the sleeping bag, pack size and weight is obviously not outstanding, hence this thing fills up your backpack quite a bit. But there is not much you can do about that if you want a warm sleeping bag :-)

Comment:
Although the particular model is not sold by Kathmandu any more, newer models would be fairly similar if you compare the specifications on the Kathmandu Website. The key is to look for the fill weight, size and outer fabric. Overall I had only good experiences with the high end range of sleeping bags from Kathmandu (I have 3 others for different temperature ratings). Other brands however offer similar bags for slightly less money.
