Review:
This was the first helmet I bought for Abseiling, Canyoning and Caving. It is a solid helmet with comfortable inner webbing and chin straps. Overall the helmet is however a bit on the heavy side and over the years I have mainly used it for caving as thats there the most protection in confined spaces is required. The helmet has taken a lot of beating over the years from that but except for looking old and scratched, its still fully functional. So overall a good helmet but due to its weight I don't use it for general abseiling and canyoning activities, replaced it with my Petzl Elios helmet during those activities. One other downside I found is that it doesn't have a good mounting mechanism at the back for fitting a headlamp on to it.

Pros:
- Rugged, solid construction
- Good and comfortable fit
- Durable

Cons:
- Heavy
- Not ideal for mounting headlamps on to it

Comment:
Overall a good helmet but more recent helmet models have replaced it with better weight and mounting points. This particular model seems not to be manufactured by Salewa any more.
