Bought these shoes for a bargain in Dubai and its one of the best trail shoes I have ever had. As with all the other Salomon shoes I had so far (2 pairs of the XA Pro 3D), they are an excellent fit for people with slim feet, provide good support and exceptional grip. I actually prefer this shoe over the XA Pro 3D for hiking and rougher terrain because the sole has a thicker and sturdier pattern which doesn't wear off as quick. As with most other Salomon shoes, love the one-pull lacing system.
Pros:
- Excellent grip due to thicker and more aggressive pattern of the sole
- Sole/rubber lasts longer than the lighter XA Pro 3D shoe
- Great fit for slim feet
- Good water resistance on the Gore Tex model
Cons:
- If you wear Orthotics you will they are typically too wide to properly fit into the shoe, so can't really use them even if you take the inner sole out.
