Review:
I bought this multi-tool for mainly for hiking and mountain biking as I wanted to have a multi-purpose tool in a small form factor and good quality but not spend a lot of money like for a Leatherman or similar tools. Gerber makes this tool with or without the Bear Grylls logo, main difference is the price and the rubber on the handles (which was the main reason I bought the BG version). Manufacturing quality seems of high standard and I have used it on multiple occasions so far. One thing I noticed is that it can easily develop little rust spots on the surface if you don't wipe moisture and water drops off right after use. According to the store where I bought it - thats normal (not sure about that being normal but anyhow...). I lost one tool in the bush earlier but because I was happy with it, I bought the same one again - so yes, I would recommend it.
Pros:
- Includes all major features you would expect from a multi-tool
- Reasonably light-weight
Cons:
- Need to clean off moisture and water drops immediately after use to prevent rust spots developing
Comment:
Good quality multi-tool with all necessary features for the bush, camping and MTB enthusiast that doesn't want to spend big$ and carry to much weight around.
